Hello and welcome to Lewie N Geenos official blog site for the Lew Marklin Show. If you've been watching the show, you know we have successfully made it to episode 15!!! We would not have done it without your support. I say would not instead of could not because, could is not the issue. You're time to care, has given us a reason to continue producing this show week in and week out, so this is your show as well as ours. I encourage you to raise issues and concerns on this site. I will do my best to address every thought, and bring many of them up on the show. Do not be afraid to raise your objections to our thoughts as well. We do not get offended. We only consider and attempt to either research and gain a better understanding or address the comment to the best of our abilities.
On this blog you will see us mention local issues, and some of the issues may be very contraversial. I cannot help it, I just seem to find myself in the center of good local gossip and antics. I will try and be as informed as possible and not take sides based on my relationships to parties. Anyway, a little about me, my name is Lewis Marklin Mash, I have been performing and writing since I was a child in Los Angeles. I am the youngest of 4 children, but the only by my father, who was faithfully with my mother for 20 years until his death. I wrote plays and stories and won many awards in school as a GATE student, though being hyper and assessed with ADHD and Disslexia. I dropped out of school at a young age after many brushes with the law and become a recognized rap artist on my way to stardem as a teenager. After appearring on national TV, obtaining representation and several contract offers from major record labels in 1990, my career came to a hault when my father died of a heart attack at the hands of ciggarrettes (Therefor I am very negative towards ciggarettes, swear that I will never marry a smoker and will probably slap my kids silly if I ever catch them smoking!) I became a Christian and married the following year, at the age of 18, and enrolled in Bible college where I quickly excelled, recieving my degree in Theology and becoming a licensed Minister with the Assemblies Of God. Being a born perormer, and a human with a big heart to help people, I was likened to a young Billy Graham. I preached in many churches, but my heart was for the less fortunate, and the young. I took the messge to the streets, as an evangelist, enlisting performers, and reaching many people. My youth outreach expanded very quickly and we were soon holding monthly events in a large gymnasium. After a few years, my wife and I had a falling out and Moved to Atascadero and bought a coffee house that I owned and operated for the entirety of 1997. After closing the shop, I sought to re-enter a changed entertainment industry, so I headed back to Los Angeles, where I slept in my car for three months while locking down a job at SABAN Entertainment (home to the Power Rangers, etc), in Westwood. I learned much by observing Haim Saban, Shukey Leavy, Ron Kenon and others, as we were sold to ABC, Fox, then Disney. Two Years later I moved to Santa Barbara, tooled around, got my GED, and re-entered Santa Barbara City College enrout to an AA degree in Law and Society and Film Studies, so that I could go back to LA with skills that I could apply to a career in entertainment. I found Broadcast journalism, and the rest is history. I have since interned and worked for KEYT over the last 5 years, spent a couple seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a camera man and Pro Video Editor and now have this show.
I now have a rap CD that is selling well in Japan. I have a movie, entitled Funk Fist, that is a Kung Fu comedy, that is due out this year (2 hour full feature), this show that we produce weekly from San Luis Obispo down to Oxnard, and I ran for 23rd District House of Representatives this last election year! I donate my time to several causes and now sit on the board of media professionals for the Recording for the Blind and Disslexic. My message is simple..."Don't do drugs, drink if you can handle it, work hard always, never stop dreaming, give back to humanity and your community and don't believe the hype." Now you know a little bit about me, let's get started! Once again...Welcome!
